It’s a Date

Simple Ideas for an At-Home Valentine’s Day Celebration

Going out on Valentine’s Day can seem a bit cliché and intended for the young lovebirds, but it’s still nice to honor your relationship by spending some quality time at home.

Skip the busy restaurants and try one of these instead:

Breakfast in bed - prepare a special breakfast spread with your partner's favorite foods

Cook dinner together - recreate a meal you have enjoyed in the past or follow along with one of your favorite chefs on YesChef. Just be sure to get all of the ingredients in advance!

Wine tasting: buy a few bottles of wine and taste different varieties together or try one of these online wine classes if you want a guide.

Have some fun - play board games, cards or do a puzzle.  Or go a little deeper and bring out “We’re not Really Strangers (Couples Edition”) or print out some of these questions to get a good conversation going

Movie night - either pick a movie you both love or check out one of these.  And of course you need to make a fun movie night snack board.

Plan your next vacation - a perfect way to get excited about spending more time together

Go through old photos - spark great memories by looking through your family photos, wedding album or photos from your early days.

Don’t forget the Playlist:

Most of these activities pair well with the right tunes, so either create your own playlist filled with memorable songs or check out some of these curated ones from The Knot or our beloved chef Ina Garten.  Don’t we all secretly wish we were Jeffrey?!
