Does Everyone Watch Women's Sports

Thanks to social media and a crop of new bars dedicated to showing female sports, we’d like to believe so!

After a year filled with watching incredible female athletes in the Olympics, at the US Open and on the basketball court, there is a lot of excitement around women’s sports and we are here for it!  Thanks to all the unbelievably talented, hard working athletes who are sharing more on social media and the very cool organization, Togethxr, which was founded by female athletes and brought us the very famous “Everyone Watches Women’s Sports” tshirt.

Social media has certainly helped, as we now get a glimpse into the personal lives of the athletes.  Some are showing us not only how hard they train and compete, but also their personalities, team camaraderie,  which is something we haven’t been privy to in mainstream sports media coverage.  If you aren’t already, we encourage you to follow these athletes on Instagram:

We’ll drink to that!

Some very savvy entrepreneurs are opening sports bars that are focused on showing women’s sporting events.  Props to The Sports Bra, who is recognized as the first of its kind to open in 2022.  But now you don’t have to travel as far, with a lot of new bars entering the chat.  Here’s a rundown of other spots to hit (some are already open and a couple are opening in 2025):

If you can’t make it to one of these spots, you should check out their websites, some have really awesome merch!  Lastly, don’t miss any of the action, check out Togethxr’s Women’s Sports Calendar.
