My Go-To Jeans
There’s nothing like finding a pair of jeans that you love. I am super picky about my denim, especially since I wear jeans just about every day. I think I have found the perfect pair and the best part is they come in so many different options, so it doesn’t feel like I am wearing the same ones all the time. Meet the High Rise Stride Wide Leg by Gap. I literally own 6 pairs - white, light & dark wash, black and I recently bought a pair of corduroy and a cargo style.
Here’s why I love them:
They fit really well around the waist and hips with a relaxed, not too baggy leg.
They have a tiny amount of stretch - only 1%.
They come in a variety of colors, styles and lengths.
O’So Pro Tips:
Buy an ankle length pair, so you can show off your fun flats or sneakers. Opt for the dark wash in the regular length, so you can dress them up with a kitten heel. And lastly, buy one pair a size bigger than you normally wear to get that casual, baggy look.
These are the other denim styles we think are worth owning:
Bootcut
This super flattering style can be worn with anything and is great for dressing up a bit. A lot of jeans in this style come in a low rise, which may have been fine in our 20’s, but not so fun now. Look for mid rise!
Skinny
These are a must with the tall boots you will be wearing this Fall. I like to buy a cropped pair so there’s less bulk in the boot! They also look great with a long coat, scrunchy wool socks and loafers or short boots.
Straight leg
Ideal to wear with loafers, sneakers. Maybe these are button fly and just your comfy go-to’s.
Modified barrel or horseshoe
I just can’t do the full on barrel style, but a subtle take on it is very flattering. This pair is the perfect nod to the look and they won’t be out of style in a minute!
